- October 18th: 5th Impact Forum, ESG & Climate Reporting for Pension Funds & Insurances (AT)
With the topic of EU Regulation - ESG & Climate Reporting for Pension Funds and Insurance Companies, the Impact Forum Europe is coming to Salzburg, Austria for the fifth consecutive time.

- November 29th: VfU Annual Meeting (Frankfurt, Germany)
The German VfU (Association for Environmental Management and Sustainability in Financial Institutions) will hold its annual meeting in cooperation with UNEP FI (United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative) in Frankfurt (Germany) on November 29th.
- October 25th: ISO 14007 Workgroup Meeting (Paris, France)
On October 25th the International Standards Organization will hold its next meeting for the Technical Committee on the new ISO 14007 (Environmental management: Determining environmental costs and benefits). Franz Knecht, founder and managing partner of Connexis AG, is the Convenor for this meeting.
- October 16th: UNEP FI Regional Roundtable Sustainable Finance (Geneva. Switzerland)
The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is partnering with Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) to hold the UNEP FI Regional Roundtable in Europe on 16 – 18 October 2017 in the Centre International de Conférences Genève (CICG Geneva), Switzerland. In this landmark year of UNEP FI’s 25th anniversary, the Regional Roundtable will provide an opportunity for actors in the sustainable finance community to come together from across Europe to discuss the latest trends and innovations, and share good practice.

The EU B@B Platform and the Global Nature Fund (GNF) are joining forces in tackling the challenge for businesses in integrating biodiversity and natural capital. - June 20th: R20 - Austrian World Summit (Vienna, Austria)
The R20 Austrian World Summit is a new annual network platform for green infrastructure projects from regions and cities to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the international climate goals outlined in the Paris Agreement. The initial conference on June 20, 2017 in Vienna is the kick-off event for this initiative. It is held under the patronage of the Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, supported by the Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern together with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his R20 climate action organization.

- November 16th: VfU Workshop on Environmental KPIs for Savings Banks (Bonn, Germany)
The German VfU (Verein fuer Umweltmanagement - Association for Environmental Management) offers a workshop around environmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and ecological balanace sheets in the savings bank sector. Through the use of KPIs from the VfU savings banks can comply with key requirements of sustainability reporting and CSR rating agencies in a lean process. More details
- November 11th: UN Conference on Climate Change COP 21 (Paris, France)
The twenty-first session of the Conference of the Parties (COP) and the eleventh session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) will take place from 30 November to 11 December 2015, in Paris, France. COP 21 is widely regarded as the last chance to agree on a new globally binding protocol to succeed the Kyoto Protocol (expired in 2012) and help keep Global Warming under the 2 degree target. - November 9th: Financing Sustainable Development (Berlin, Germany)
The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) & UNEP Inquiry hold a conference on financing sustainable development and the role of governance in greening financial systems. The conference will address central challenges for the financial sector of contributing to the new paradigm of sustainable development as agreed upon by heads of states at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015. The conference will discuss the progress and challenges in three major areas: (1) How to drive the banking sector towards sustainability considerations? (2) How to mobilise capital markets for investments in sustainable development? (3) How to ensure that foreign direct investments contribute to the greening of existing industries and infrastructure, by introducing new technologies, innovative solutions and management practices? - November 5th: Investor Workshop on Carbon Footprinting (Zurich, Switzerland)
In light of the recent focus on portfolio carbon intensity, Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF), in partnership with IIGCC, offers a closer look at the different carbon foot printing techniques currently available. Four data providers will analyze their carbon footprint of a model portfolio and present their results. More details
- November 4th: 7th Global Social Business Summit (Berlin, Germany)
The Global Social Business Summit (GSBS) is the worldwide leading forum for social business, non-loss, non-dividend companies with a social goal. It serves to spread awareness about social business, foster discussion and collaboration between practitioners and stakeholders, as well as present and conceive best practices. The annual event is organized by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus and his Creative Advisor Hans Reitz, and gathers experts from the private sector, civil society, governments and academia for meetings, forums and workshops. - October 29th: UNEP FI / VfU / Deutsche Boerse: Annual Roundtable (Frankfurt, Germany)
This year's annual VfU (Verein fuer Umweltmanagement - Association for Environmental Management) roundtable focuses on the path from materiality analysis and to company strategy. Today many companies already have programs to embrace their societal responsibility and many companies publish sustainability and/or CSR reports. However, only a limited number of companies actually integrated these programs into their core business and their long term strategy. As a consequence this year's roundtable will focus on the transformation of these CSR programs into core strategy components. More details
